In Diakonie Kosova’s office in Prizren, our psychologist has held stabilization group activities with children from the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian (RAE) minorities. A stabilization group activity refers to a weekly meeting with children, where they learn ways to cope with stressful situations and negative emotions.

This activity was organized and carried out in cooperation with NGO “Concordia”.

During the last activity planned, a dance trainer from the Diakonie Youth Centre added body exercises and dance therapy into this activity. The children that participated were highly focused and very joyful.

Group activities with RAE children show a positive impact in emotional, cognitive and behavioral aspects.
