A Journey of Partnership
Since the end of the conflict in 1999s, Germany has played a crucial role in supporting Kosovo’s development, providing expertise, funding, and resources to rebuild the nation. Over the years, this partnership has expanded into various sectors, including education, social welfare, and economic development. The anniversary celebration served as a testament to the successes achieved through this enduring relationship.
During the celebration, Diakonie showcased several of its impactful projects that have been instrumental in fostering community resilience and empowerment.
One of the standout projects presented was the vocational school program Diakonie Training Center, designed to equip youth with essential skills for the job market.
The Diakonie Youth Center which serves as a hub for young people to access various resources, including educational programs, counseling services, and recreational activities.
The Psycho Social Center which offers essential therapy services free of charge for individuals dealing with trauma, also trains new therapists. Another remarkable project is the Farm a working place specifically designed for individuals with disabilities. This initiative not only provides job training and employment opportunities but also promotes social inclusion
