The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr. Rainer Rudolph, visited Diakonie Kosova in Mitrovicë on March 30, 2026.
During a tour, he visited the training classes at the Training Center, including heating installation, electrical work, hairdressing, makeup, and tailoring. This allowed him to see for himself the high priority that Diakonie has placed on vocational training for the past 25 years. Our training kitchen, together with the trainees, had prepared a lunch featuring traditional Kosovar dishes.
Following this, the Ambassador and the Chairman of Diakonie, Mr. Bernd Baumgarten, signed a project grant to support the work at the Psychosocial Center for Trauma Therapy.
We sincerely thank the German Embassy for its support! With this help, we can help others. Further discussions took place in the Oda, the traditional Albanian gathering space.
Finally, the Ambassador visited the farm, which provides employment for people with disabilities.
