Soldiers from the German contingent of the Kosovo Force (KFOR) visit us regularly. They learn about the situation in the country, its traditions, and, above all, our work as a social welfare organization. We have a particularly close relationship with the Protestant and Catholic military chaplaincies. Currently (April–July 25), a Catholic military chaplain, Mr. Axel Heinekamp, is in Kosovo. Together with his parish assistant, he organizes visits to us and also so-called timeout seminars. At such a seminar, soldiers can leave the KFOR camp and have some time off.
On May 24, Heinekamp and 15 soldiers, both male and female, came to us to cook Kosovar dishes. Some had never prepared food before, while others were very experienced.
A total of five different dishes were prepared and then eaten together.
